Hold onto your hats folks, your favourite techno fuelled four day affair just got a whole lot juicier with an abundance of local acts joining the ranks…

You’re nearly there. Pitch Music & Arts is a mere 11 days away. You’ve only got one more weekend of working in retail to get through, it’s almost time to do your annual pre festival trip to Dan Murphy’s, and lets be honest you couldn’t be more excited. Except wait… what’s that? Pitch has gone and released a second round lineup, packed to the brim with all your favourite true blue local Aussie artists? Lord have mercy - this is going to be huge…

Just when you thought Pitch Music & Arts 2019 couldn’t get any better, they go and announce 15 more local artists who will be joining us at this annual techno soirée, the kinds of names who have garnered international attention with their mind melting mixing and production capabilities, and names that you’ve subsequently fallen in love with whilst watching them play at Lounge, or New Guerns, or Revs, or Hugs - take your pick, all the contenders are there. Here are a couple of our favourite 2019 additions.

Fantastic Man (AUS)

This is one Melbournian who has well and truly made it to the big leagues. With a string of releases on London’s Wolf Music and Berlin’s On The Rocks record labels, Fantastic man is a truly unique creative, in high demand across the globe with his well executed dance music stylings, having graced the most infamous stages in the world such as Berghain and About Blank.

Adi Toohey (AUS)

Adi Toohey is well and truly a corner piece in Australia’s thriving music scene. Whether witnessing her at any given Sydney based club, or supporting artists such as Hunee or The Black Madonna to international audiences, Adi Toohey is an exciting Pitch Music & Arts headliner, a name you can catch at the Resident Advisor stage.

With recent announcements that the infamous Boiler Room and Resident Advisor institutions will be collaborating with Pitch Music & Arts 2019, this is ultimately a huge opportunity for our local rising stars to excel on a global stage, and tensions are high that this could just be the best Pitch yet. Better start getting camera ready now, if not for the millions of people who will be watching you via Boiler Room TV, then do it for the memories - history is about to be made.
