The man from Bremen will bring his hardware collection to Melbourne’s Northside for a headline show…
Love him or hate him, but you can’t deny that Stephan Bodzin is currently one of the global dance music scene’s biggest ticket sellers.
And its easy to see why: his music consists of digestible melodies that resonate on some weird primal level with our Default Mode Networks. In other words, it’s 4/4 music that you could play to someone with no interest in electronic music and they’ll probably show some sort of appreciation for it. Especially in Australia his fanbase seems quite rabid; case in point, the 4000 revellers who descended on St. Kilda’s foreshore last year to pay homage to the German - and as our reviewer reminisced, it was a day to remember.
If you live Northside chances are you would never have wagered that Bodzin would play in your neighbourhood. Well, this time around the man from Bremen will play at the new Melbourne venue, Thornbury Social Club which is in… um… Thornbury. So if you did wager on him playing Northside go find that slip and cash it in. Also announced for that show will be local lights Made in Paris and The Journey. In Sydney, the man with the synthesisers will head to the Enmore Theatre which follows his sold-out show for the Warehouse Collective last year.
Both these shows are set to sell out so if you Bodzin is Godzin in your books you would be advised to get your tickets asap as they are set to sell out pretty damn quick.
