IN THE STUDIO: James Pepper
James Pepper invites us into his studio, to show us where the magic happens…
Within the list of talented dance music producers putting Australia on the global map, James Pepper is making a good case for your attention. You’d be hard-pressed finding someone with a penchant for Australia’s house music circuit who hasn’t heard the name James Pepper. The Sydney-based selector is slowly becoming one of the city’s go-to DJs, as proved by bookings supporting the likes of Denis Sulta, Job Jobse, Gerd Janson, Ross From Friends and Black Loops.
Through a string of releases on record labels Haws, Neovinyl Recordings, and Gateway Recordings, James has become synonymous with a brand of high energy, carefully crafted deep house music that aligns him with the artists who have influenced him. Fresh from releasing his EP ‘For All My Wrongs’ on Gallery Recordings, James Pepper invited us into his home studio to give us a tour of his studio, and a highly fascinating peek into his creative process…
